Prof. Michel de Boer

Professor Michel de Boer studied at the Academy of Fine Arts and Higher Technologies in Rotterdam. In 1989, he became creative managing partner at Studio Dumbar. In 2011, he started his independent design company, MdB Associates, with associated offices in Germany, Korea and Hong Kong. In 2014, he opened his new office De Boer Wang Studio in Shanghai. With more than 30 years of experience, Michel de Boer has worked for clients such as Apple, Allianz, Shell, Nike, Jaguar and Mercedes-Benz. In 2005, he became visiting professor at the Istituto Universitario di Architettura in Venice, Italy. He runs an educational bachelor’s programme in branding, identity and public space at the SIVA DeTao School of Design and is professor at Tongji University, College of Design and Innovation, for a master’s programme. He is a member of the Alliance Graphique Internationale (AGI) and of D&AD in the UK.
