A large-scale design gala, "Jump Beyond Realms——Exhibition of Winners of Red Dot Award: Design Concept 2023/2024" presents over 250 pieces including classics and the latest winners. On this journey, we jump among five thematic exhibition areas with diversified styles like jumping between interstellar realms. In this context, the act of space jumping takes on an almost poetic quality. Harnessing the power of imagination, designers use lines, colors, and materials to crafts spaces that evoke emotional narratives, inspiring the discovery of innovative solutions for a better world.
“Dynamic Sphere” Area displays the new concepts and new ideas put forward by designers for the future world, showing that the continuous injection of “design energy” makes the beautiful sphere under our feet more vigorous than ever.
“Orange Harbor” Area shows the detailed cases of how design cares for households: from the tangled earphone wire and scattered coins in the pocket to the alone time for pets when traveling..., providing a warm orange harbor for us to feel its vigor and vitality and to be healed up.
“Peripheral Vision” Area, with its exhibits ranging from a pen to a quantum computer, from outdoor textbooks for children to wonderful devices that can help the hearing impaired enjoy music..., demonstrates that design is no longer arbitrarily categorized into the masses- or minority-oriented, but led into areas that were unclear previously – realizing an organic integration of the commonality of the masses and the uniqueness of the minority.
“Passage to Wellness” Area presents how designers use design to create changes within the realm of life sciences when facing potential changes: in a way that is more efficient, more caring, more immersive, more intelligent, and focusing more on the balance between body and mind. They redefine the future healthy lifestyle with a new way of thinking, and present cutting-edge technologies in a more caring and humane manner, which brings more vitality, care and hope to this merry land where we live.
Warp Drive refers to faster-than-light flight through spatiotemporal leap, which is still in the theoretical stage. The multidimensional space it depicts, more than an abstract expression of the physical world, guides the trend of innovation.
“Warp Drive” shows how courage and exploring spirit are reflected in design, and the audience can feel designers’ efforts in breaking through the routine and exploring the unknown through the large device of “Space Capsule” and exhibits.
